Fallbach Water Adventure Park in the Maltatal
Fallbach Water Adventure Park in the Maltatal
Experience Carinthia’s highest waterfall
This is how beautiful the Fallbach – Carinthia’s highest free-falling waterfall – plunges into the valley. It is one of the landmarks of the Maltatal. And therefore rightly one of the most popular sights of the region.
At its feet lies the Water Adventure Park – a nature playground, which was lovingly placed exactly where the forces of the Maltatal can be felt best. Climbing garden, tree house slide and water labyrinth entertain the youngsters while the parents enjoy the view.

Panorama road
Panorama road
Maltahochalm road to the Kölnbreinsperre
Curvaceous and breathtakingly beautiful
At 1,933 m above sea level is Austria’s highest dam wall – the Kölnbrein Dam. Even the journey to the dam is a small adventure: An adventure trip on the 14.4 km long Malta Hochalmstraße, characterized by rock tunnels and hairpin bends.
The numerous waterfalls along the Malta Hochalmstraße also give the Malta Valley the name “Valley of the falling waters”. Especially impressive are the “Malteiner Wasserspiele”. Here the water rushes over several rock steps into the depths until it finally meets the beautiful “Blue Swamps”.
The road is characterized by natural stone tunnels carved out of rock and sharp bends, which make the journey a driving pleasure for car and motorcycle drivers. At the narrowest points, two traffic lights ensure the safety of our guests. You can leave your car at the parking lot at the end of the road, from where you can easily reach the other attractions on foot.
